In the country
but not leaving the world behind
The town of Glinde is 790 years old, but not old-aged – in fact quiet the reverse. The town offers its young population everything they need for a top class education. Within a radius of 4 km are eight children’s day nurseries, four primary schools, a community school, a grammar school and a music school. The well-stocked nearby Glinder Mühlenteich lake is a great place for keen anglers. Believe it or not there are no less than 22 public play areas and sports grounds. There is an active club and society scene for both young and old plus tennis courts and even an 18-hole golf course. There is a diverse range of cultural attractions, footpaths and cycle paths and an appealing and welcoming town centre with convenience stores and a weekly market.
